The flickers can be mesmerizing but not so complicated that they are distracting. This keeps your mind occupied, too.

Second, our conscious mind, our thoughts, never shuts down�we’re always thinking about something. Rather than try to silence it, occupy and distract it with a mantra. A mantra is phrase, poem, or prayer that you repeat over and over again in your head just to occupy your mind. It can be anything�a prayer, a favorite poem, even song lyrics�just as long as you know it by heart and can recite it with much thought. Some people pray the rosary as they meditate�the endless string of memorized Hail Marys occupies their conscious mind perfectly.

3. Trust Your Instincts

Without a doubt, it is the ability to trust your instincts that is the most important element. That is why it is important to never doubt yourself or your abilities. Don�t tell yourself there is no logical reason to what you do. Pay attention to your subconscious mind as it may pick up on something you had not noticed before.

At first, this is going to be a difficult habit to follow. However, as time goes on, the more you listen to and trust or instance, the more confidence you’ll get in this particular skill. Old books, alternative healers, folk wisdome, old remedies, oral traditions are all still there,even if they have been forced underground. But they must emerge. As the current greedy power structure gets more greedy, more people will be forced to turn to alternatives, simply because they cannot afford what has been forced upon them any longer. Today, the cost of treatment is growing beyond the capabilites of the average person.

For some people who care naught for all this nonsense about power structures, never have and never will, they only know that they have simple things that work, don’t stress the body with strong side effects, and don’t cost anything to speak of. If you are not a ‘person of means’, which path would you choose?
